Rakesh Kumar Upadhyay joined BSNL as Chairman and MD on 30th April 2011. His career began in DOT in 1975 after his selection by UPSC for Indian Telecom Service. In dot, he gained experience in areas of planning, installation and commissioning, commercial administration and operations. In October 1996, he proceeded on deputation to TCIL, where he remained till august 1999. During his deputation, he successfully worked as Project Director in the foreign projects at Sana and as GM in Yemen. He took over the charge of Director (Projects), TCIL in November 2005 and was subsequently selected as Chairman and MD of TCIL. He remained at the helms of TCIL from March 2007 to April 2011. He has to his credit the turning around of TCIL as its CMD.

Intex launches Aquq Octa Smartphone

Intex has announced the launch of its Octa Core processor phone "Aqua Octa" which is powered by MediaTek. This dual-SIM smartphone comes laden with a 6-inch capacitive touch OGS HD display that provides a 720X1280 resolution.
