DSCI partners with Google to launch ‘Internet Safety Program’

Data Security Council of India (DSCI) , in partnership with Google , has launched “ Internet Safety Program “. The Workshops aim at enhancing trust in the cyberspace by empowering MSMEs with knowledge and understanding to deal with cyber security challenges to stay safe and secure while operating online. Under the program, DSCI and Google will organize a series of workshops in various cities, to help inculcate safe and responsible behaviour in cyber space by sharing best practices and guidance with the audience, equipping them with necessary guidance, instructions and techniques to address cyber security challenges, and spreading awareness on legal and regulatory obligations. Avinash Vashistha Avinash Vashistha is Chairman and Geography Managing Director for Accenture in India. Before joining Accenture in January 2011, Avinash was chairman and CEO of Tholons. Earlier in his career, he founded neoIT, an offshore advisory firm, and prior to that, led Nortel’s pioneering outsourcing efforts in India, UK and US. He started his career with AT&T Bell Labs, USA, is a known thought leader in the industry and co-authored the book “The Offshore Nation”. Avinash is also an Executive Council member of NASSCOM. Avinash holds an engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, a master’s in Computer Science from the University of Alberta and an MBA from Arizona.
