The Indian railways, in a major policy shift, bidding for parking, catering and parcel leasing, worth about Rs 3,000 crore a year has decided to do away with paper-based traditional tendering methods and will be assigned through an e-tendering process. Besides, the contracts for getting space at rail premises for ATMs, advertisements and other publicity-related matters will also go online to bring about transparency and thus making deadlock for  unethical elements in the tendering process. "There were complaints against the prevailing bidding system as the scope of formation of cartels and illegal interference in the bidding procedure to bag parking, catering and other contracts was always there," a senior Railway Ministry official told to media. According to the latest reports, Bharti Airtel's tower   Infratel and Indus Towers have decided to merge their companies to create one entity. With a combined revenue of around Rs.25,360 crore, and 1.63 lakh towers across 22 telecom service areas of the country, this new pan-India tower company, which will be named Indus Towers Ltd, will easily become the world's largest tower company. Bharti  Airtel  today announced the successful completion of the secondary sale of over 190 million shares of its subsidiary Bharti Infrabel representing 10.3%, to a consortium of funds advised by KKR and  Canada Pension Plan Investment Board  (“CPPIB”) The deal has been sealed for a total consideration of over Rs 6,193.9 Crore (approximately $951.6 million), executed at a price of Rs 325 per share. In line with the Government of India’s “ Make in India ” programme, Micromax has inaugurated its newest manufacturing facility in Telangana. It was inaugurated by Sri K. T.
