Nokia launches Nokia X Android phone in India
Nokiahas announced the launch of its new family of Android-based smartphone - theNokia X in India. The phone runs on the new Nokia X software platform, which is based on Google's Android. However, the other two models in theSeries - X+ and XLhave not been unveiled yet. Nokia X handset is priced at 8599.

The phones under the Nokia X family are not pure Android phones; these phones instead run a variant of Android. Nokia has taken the open-source elements of Android and has pulled in other elements of Asha and Windows Phone to offer its users a different experience.
According to company sources, the Finnish handset Major is positioning the Nokia X as a bridge to high-end Windows smartphones under the Lumia brand.
“India is one of the fastest growing markets for smart phones in the world. With the launch of Nokia X, we are adding more ammunition to our smartphone portfolio. We believe Nokia X is a unique combination of Nokia quality and experiences, Microsoft services and Android™ apps. It will resonate with consumers and set a great precedent for the level of quality that can be achieved in the fast-growing, affordable smartphone segment.” SaidP Balaji, Managing Director, Nokia India.
Out of the box, consumers can enjoy signature Nokia experiences including free HERE Maps, with true offline maps and integrated turn-by-turn navigation, and Nokia MixRadio for free music streaming and downloadable playlists. The Nokia X is also an affordable introduction to popular Microsoft services, including 7GB free cloud storage using OneDrive and additional 3GB if consumers enable camera back up.

Intex launches Aquq Octa Smartphone

Intex has announced the launch of its Octa Core processor phone "Aqua Octa" which is powered by MediaTek. This dual-SIM smartphone comes laden with a 6-inch capacitive touch OGS HD display that provides a 720X1280 resolution.
