Over 2 Billion Users will use Mobile Banking by 2020

Over 2 billion mobile users will use their devices for banking purposes by the end of 2021, compared to 1.2 billion this year globally says  Juniper Research . The new research,  Retail Banking : Digital Transformation & Disruptor Opportunities 2016-2021, found that the number of  mobile banking  logins are now exceeding that of internet banking logins in many markets. For example, the BBA ( British Trade Association for Banking ) announced that banking app logins in the UK reached a record 11 million per day during 2015, compared to 4.3 million internet banking logins during the same period. E-waste collection target for FY2022-23 to be 70%

As per Guidelines on Implementation of E-waste (Management) Rules, 2016, the  E-waste collection   target for FY2022-23 would be 70 per cent of  E-waste generation . Initially,  E-waste collection  target for the financial year 2016-17 would be 15 per cent of the  estimated E-waste generation , and for the year 2017-18, the collection target would be 30 per cent. These targets would increase to 40 per cent for next 2 financial years between 2018-20, 50 per cent for the financial years between 2020-22 and 70 per cent of the  estimated E-waste generation  for the financial years 2022 – 2023 onwards... Idea acquires 349.20 MHz broadband spectrum

In the spectrum auction,  Idea  has successfully completed its pan-India mobile broadband footprint by acquiring 349.20 MHz 4G spectrum for Rs 12,798 crore. Commenting on the spectrum auction,  Kumar Mangalam Birla , chairman, Idea Cellular said,”‘To fulfil our  prime minister’s Narendra Modi ‘s vision of  Digital India , Idea in this auction completes its pan-India wireless broadband footprint. Bharti Airtel has acquired 173.8 MHz spectrum across 1800/2100/2300 MHz bands for a total consideration of Rs 14,244 crore in the latest  spectrum auction . The company now has 3G and 4G spectrum in all circles, giving it the widest mobile broadband footprint across the country. It already has 2G spectrum in all circles. Over the past six years, the company has acquired spectrum worth Rs 100,000 crore through auctions and trading. Through strategic buying, in the latest auction, Airtel has built new 4G/3G capabilities in 7 circles. The company has spent Rs 10,340 crore towards enhancing data capacities in 15 circles.
