Programming APIs Attacks grew over 600% in 2021

  Security analysts warn of a sharp rise in  Application Programming Interface  attacks over the past year, with most companies still following inadequate practices to tackle the problem. A growth of 681% of API attack traffic in 2021 was reported, while the overall API traffic increased by 321%.   These stats highlight that as industries adopt API solutions, attacks against them are growing disproportionally. API is a software interface supporting online services that rely on connections to exchange data.   The risks of these attacks are large-scale and dire, many companies have delayed the deployment of applications due to API security concerns. Though daily cases rise 17% but deaths slow down 70%: Covid-19 infections continued to surge in the country at a slightly slower rate than seen last week, with over 1.9 lakh fresh cases reported on Tuesday, up 17% from the previous day's tally. Deaths from the virus, although still very low overall, were rising at a faster rate with each passing day.
