Over 2 Billion Users will use Mobile Banking by 2020

Over 2 billion mobile users will use their devices for banking purposes by the end of 2021, compared to 1.2 billion this year globally says  Juniper Research . The new research,  Retail Banking : Digital Transformation & Disruptor Opportunities 2016-2021, found that the number of  mobile banking  logins are now exceeding that of internet banking logins in many markets. E-waste collection target for FY2022-23 to be 70%

As per Guidelines on Implementation of E-waste (Management) Rules, 2016, the  E-waste collection   target for FY2022-23 would be 70 per cent of  E-waste generation . Initially,  E-waste collection  target for the financial year 2016-17 would be 15 per cent of the  estimated E-waste generation , and for the year 2017-18, the collection target would be 30 per cent. In the spectrum auction,  Idea  has successfully completed its pan-India mobile broadband footprint by acquiring 349.20 MHz 4G spectrum for Rs 12,798 crore. Organizations moving towards scalable IoT deployments

Now Virtual Network Operators License In 60 Days

Around 70 companies have applied for  Virtual Network Operators license  to  Department of Telecommunications (DoT) , government of India. According to industry insiders, the list of 70 companies does not include any large corporates but majority of VNO applicants are interested in starting ISP services. On the operator front, BSNL has shown active interest in joining hands with VNOs as it will help in extending its network to new customers and also help in increased capacity utilization of its mobile network. Initially Datawind and Oxigen had shown interest for virtual network operators license but  VARINDIA  could not confirm whether they applied for VNO license. In June, the  DoT  had issued guidelines for grant of Virtual Network Operators license to be finalized in 60 days.
